By Karen Clem Fritz The Lady Warriors and Lady Trojans achieved the dream of every Indiana high school basketball player when they won sectional championships Saturday night, Feb. 10. Winamac beat rival North Judson in the championship game, 55-47. West Central smashed Pioneer, 51-20 to win its sectional crown. Both teams were the host schools for their tournaments. The Lady Warriors (15-7) will meet Jimtown (21-2) in the second game of the Class 2A Rensselaer Regional, Saturday, Feb. 17. Earlier in the day, the Lady Trojans (19-4)will take on Oregon-Davis (21-3) in the first game of the Class A Culver Regional. For Winamac, it was the first sectional title since 1996. West Central last won a sectional in 2005.

North Judson 46, 1A No. 52 at West Central (6 teams) Game 1
Caston 33, Seasons end at regional Both the Lady Warriors and Lady Trojans were eliminated in the first round of regional action, Saturday (Feb. 17). Winamac lost in an overtime thriller to Jimtown, 58-56. Oregon-Davis jumped to a strong, early lead and defeated West Central, 65-34.
