Senior Citizens are invited to attend a “Prime Time” meal at 12 noon, at the Winamac Church of the Nazarene for fellowship with those from all denominations of churches. A free-will offering will be taken. Brief programs will sometimes follow the meals.
•Pulaski Memorial Hospital's Cardiopulmonary Department will host an Open House from 2 to 4 p.m. to help celebrate Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week. If you or someone you love suffers with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or other lung diseases that may compromise your ability to perform daily living activities or hampers your quality of life, now is the time to stop by and get more information about the PMH Pulmonary Rehab Program. You will receive educational information about our Pulmonary Rehab program as well as receive free screenings, door prizes and refreshments.

•The Bread of Life Food Pantry will be open from 9 to 10:30 a.m., at the Winamac Assembly of God Church, 557 W. 11th St. This food distribution is to help supplement the needs of those within the county who have been impacted economically and/or who have special needs. •The Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will hold its spring South Bend Chocolate Sale, today and Tuesday (March 23) from 8 am to 5 pm in the hospital lobby just in time for Easter candy.
•The Friends of Pleasant View Rest Home will meet at 6 p.m., at the Winamac library. All are welcome.

Free GED Classes are offered 9 a.m. to 12 noon, on Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays during the 2009-10 school year, at the Landmark Adult Learning Center in the Human Services Building, Winamac. For information, call 574-946-7119 or register at the Human Services information desk.
•Abused? Home shouldn't hurt. Call the Crisis Center at 1-800-933-0374. Open 24-hours a day, the Crisis Center offers emergency shelter, complete confidentiality, support groups, and crisis intervention. The staff acts on behalf of the client with service agencies. Serving Pulaski, Jasper and Newton counties.

Experience Works, a national non-profit organization that provides training and employment services to older workers, is looking for low-income seniors who want and need to work. For more information, visit www.experienceworks.org or call 1-800-843-0885.
The Sweet Beginnings Prenatal Program at Healthy Families offers a clinic in the Pulaski County Building, providing prenatal care coordination services. Services include free urine pregnancy testing, risk assessment, and referral to other community services including medical provider and financial coverage. Services are offered during regular business hours 9 am to 5 pm. Call ahead for an appointment or additional information at 574-946-6017.
•Families First offers a Free Smoking Cessation Program. The trained cessation therapist will provide counseling and support to those interested in quitting. Call 946-6017 to schedule an appointment.
Help for the Hurting Parent bereavement support group of Pulaski Memorial Hospital is open to area residents who have experienced the death of any aged child. This is a free service offered by PMH.Call 946-2180 for information.
Peak Community Services seeks cloth Yard Sale Items such as unwanted clothes, towels, sheets or material to make rags for local organizations and businesses. Bring items to Peak Community Services in Winamac which is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. If you can not get to Peak Community Services but would still like to donate clothing items, Peak can pick them up. Call 574-946-6188 to set up a time for pick up.
•In an effort to expand its recycling efforts, Peak Community Services, Inc. accepts donations of used cell phones and printer cartridges. These items can be dropped off at the Winamac location at 1104 US Hwy 35 weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call 574-946-6188 for information or to arrange a drop off time of large quantities.
•The Winamac Lions Club collects used eye glasses to be distributed to needy people all over the world. Collection Boxes are located at Pulaski Memorial Hospital lobby and St Peter's Catholic Church entrance. Also, used hearing aids can be put in the collection boxes.
When the Bough Breaks is a grief support group for those who have lost an infant, experienced a stillbirth, a miscarriage, or SIDS. This is a free service of Pulaski Memorial Hospital for residents of Pulaski and neighboring counties. For more information, call 946-2180.
